Executive summary
Goal: The aim of the project is to improve human rights & dignity of 3600 Dalit people by increasing accessibility in service provider institutions in Keshabpur, Jashore within 2years.
Objectives:
- To enjoy better life in locality through establishing Dalit friendly local government.
- To Enhance knowledge, voice & choice of Dalit communities specially girls, women and disable people.
- To more sensitize service provider institutes to become proactive to address the needs of Dalit & disadvantage communities of Keshabpur.
- To encourage active participation of Dalit and disadvantage community people in local decision-making processes and civic activities.
Expected outcomes
- Improved service delivery institutions have become more responsive to services for Dalit communities at the district, Upazila and union levels.
- Increased willingness of Local government (Union Parishad) legal actors, CSOs, CBOs and civil society to protect the human rights of Dalits.
- Organizational (CBOs) capacity has increased of Dalit community through which they are playing an active role to establish their rights.
- Dalits have able to access more government services and opportunities.
- Dalit women and girls’ social status advanced.

3600 population will be in proposed project area are the Dalit community (Rishi), Pig rearing (Kaiputra), fishermen (Jele) of KeshabpurUpazila in Jashore.

- Activity 5: Quarterly lobby meetings with legal aid committees and relevant standing committees and ensure effective participation by all mandated members at the union level
