In 2005, Parittran made three ‘Vramaman Tathya Kendra’ in Tala, Keshabpur and Paikgacha area and later on we called it as ‘Right to Information Movement’ is promoting the use of this law to obtain their rightful rights from various government authorities and improve their economic and social status, especially for the Dalits, indigenous and extreme marginalized people and who are the most neglected and deprived people of society.
The Right to Information Act and the Information Commission are bringing immense potential change in the lives of the common people, especially the marginalized communities in our country. Its successful use is ensuring the transparency, accountability, participation, and even reducing the poverty.
The Dalit people are falling behind day by day due to lack of proper information in education, treatment, disaster relief, healthcare, representation, and participation in social activities. In this situation, Parittran is working to empower the Dalits, along with other people in our country, in education, medicine, disaster relief, healthcare, and representation through the promotion of the Right to Information Act of 2009.
