Memorandum has been given to the Election Commissioner (EC) of Shyamnagar- Satkhira on 06 December 2023, Keshabpur- Jessore on 12 December 2023, and Koyra-Khulna on 13 December 2023 demanding not to use the children in 12th National Parliament Election of 2024. The children of NCTF of three areas have given the memorandum through the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) to the Honorable Election Commissioner.

The Demands are:
The Election Commission shall issue a notification on the protection of children on the eve, during, and after the election. No child should be physically, mentally, and financially vulnerable. The Election Commission should take responsibility for the rights, human rights, safety, and security of children of all communities living in Bangladesh during the election period.
The Commission should issue strict instructions to all the political party leaders to ensure that there is no interruption in children’s education, sports, and psychosocial support during the 12th National Parliament elections. If any candidate uses children for election then the candidate should be investigated and ensure punishment against that candidate. Even the Election Commission has to take effective initiative to take timely decisions like stopping the candidate from participating in the polls.

child journalist and Sakhi Das, Srabanti Das are the members of National Children Task Force (NCTF) Keshabpur Upazila were present while presenting the memorandum to Upazila Executive Officer, honorable Tuhin Hossain. In this regard, Honorable Tuhin Hossain the UNO of Keshabpur Upazila said, “In this regard, I have received a memorandum. The memorandum will be sent to the Election Commissioner.” In Koyra Upazila: During the submission of the memorandum, the president of Upazila Shishu Suraksha Coalition, the former professor of Kapatakkha College A. B. M. Malek, and a member of the organization Adv. Anishur Rahman, journalist Imtiaz Uddin, Md. Riyashad Ali, Md. Farhad Hossain, District Adivasi Parishad General Secretary Nirapada Munda, Paritran Project Officer – Alauddin, NCTF President Shewly Munda and others.
