Executive summary

National Action Plan against Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children, including Trafficking (adopted in 2002-2006). Over time, it has expanded its scope to monitor other child rights issues, and has expressed concern to hold those responsible accountable, while also continuing to create a space for children’s participation in decision-making “Our Report Towards Our Bangladesh” (ORTOB). The Children Growing as Active Citizens (HCGAC) project to help develop a child-led alternative report, implemented since 2009, is a continuation of the successful project ORTOB project. The HCGAC project aims to continue supporting the NCTF between January 2015 and June 2018 to prepare another child-led CRC Alternative Report through NCTF members and include the child rights situation of 16 socially marginalized child groups. To address inclusion, it is necessary to include more representatives from socially excluded groups of children and reach the grassroots level.
